Bob received a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from The University of Akron. He has over 50 years of industrial experience in the rubber industry, having worked as an Engineer for Babcock & Wilcox, Goodyear Aerospace, and Firestone. He later became Technical Director for Hygenic Corporation, before founding Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc. (ARDL) in 1962 and Polymerics, Inc. in 1972.

Bob has a long list of patents and publications to his credit, covering a broad range of products, processes, and testing procedures for rubber, plastic and latex products. Bob's intent from the inception of ARDL was to solve problems for the rubber industry. That is still Bob's primary focus, as well as the goal of all 100 dedicated technical experts and highly trained technicians who comprise ARDL today. These people represent expertise in all phases of the elastomer and thermoplastic industries and are equipped with the latest processing, testing and analysis equipment. Backed by unparalleled material and component databases, technical information and search methodologies, ARDL has established itself as the industry leader in technical problem solving for all rubber applications.
